Where does the Tour de Crypto start? Where does it end?

The Tour will be starting in the Hamptons, NY on September 14th and ending at Huntington Beach, CA on November 9th.

Does the Tour de Crypto help a specific charity or cause?

Yes. This year’s chosen charity is HAWC, the Houston Area Women’s Center. HAWC works to end domestic and sexual violence and supports all in building safe and healthy lives through advocacy, counseling, education, shelter and support services. HAWC’s services are free, confidential and available to everyone. Please see their website at www.hawc.org.

What do you hope to accomplish with the Tour de Crypto?

Our mission is to raise blockchain and cryptocurrency awareness for charities. In educating people and charities alike, we plan to raise $1,000,000 USD in crypto and use the first annual tour as a case study to educate the masses.

How do I know this is a legitimate fundraising event?

You can contact HAWC directly or check out their webpage. 100% of all donations go directly to HAWC via wallets they maintain and control.

Will the entire amount of my donation be given to the charity?

Yes. 100% of all donations will go to HAWC.

Which cryptocurrencies can I use to donate?

At this time (8/29/2018), we have wallets set up for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Electra, Monero, Digibyte, and Reddcoin. More coins will be added!

Do we have to wait till the tour is over before the donations are made?

No. We encourage everyone to make donations early and often!

Do you accept cash or credit cards for donations?

Yes, if you would like to donate cash to HAWC, please contact HAWC directly about making a cash donation. Please make sure to label the donation on behalf of the Tour de Crypto.

Can I volunteer for the Tour de Crypto?

Yes. We need all the help we can get. This is a grassroots campaign and any help will be appreciated.

Can my organization apply to be a part of the Tour de Crypto?

Yes. We have various sponsorship and donation opportunities available. Please contact us or contact one of our team members.

Who started the Tour de Crypto?

The Tour de Crypto was started by its founder, Jason Berlin.

I work for an awesome charity! How can we be a part of this?

The purpose of the Tour is to encourage all crypto communities to donate to charity. If your organization agrees to accept crypto and you can educate them on how to set up wallets, etc., please contact us.

You’re coming to my city, can I help with media relations or awareness?

We would love that. We hope to have meet and greets and media coverage at all our stops.

How can I help spread the word about donating crypto to charity?

Start spreading the word on social media. Please follow our team, sponsors and advisors and interact with them on social media, share and retweet their messages.

Can I join you on the bike ride?

We would be happy to have other bike riders join. If you would like to cycle with our riders on a part of the trip, please contact us so we can discuss logistics. We must consider safety for all before we add additional riders.

How will we know that you are actually pedaling across the US?

Throughout the Tour our riders will be equipped with GPS equipment and video cameras. The entire tour will be documented and edited for a documentary!

Will the Tour de Crypto be an ongoing event?

Yes. We plan to conduct the Tour on an annual basis and eventually expand into races and other cycling events!
